[ADSM-L] TSM VE Question

I am backing up a VM which has two hard disks use TSMVE incremental forever.  
If I switch to only backing up the first hard disk, will backups for the 2nd 
hard disk expire?  Or will they hang around forever?  TSMVE 7.1.1.0.
