I got OC up and running, and hooked in as spokes our three TSM's that are at
v6.3. Those 3 instances have +1600 nodes. Other than that I haven't done
anything with it yet, so I don't know yet if it's really slow or OK.

This AIX lpar has 4GB mem, and also runs our mostly unused AdminCenter.

It's interesting that my db2archivelog dir is full! I've got to get a backup
defined and run!

Here is the disk space the TSM instance is using at this time:

Not that far yet!

I've got the install.sh run, that's all. Now need to create the v7.1.1 TSM
instance, then install/config Op center.

The system I'm using is a AIX lpar with 4GB memory. It's running some other
things, but nothing big/heavy (interfaces to some of our storage arrays). Will
be interesting to see what a completely empty db size is after creating it.

So how small of a linux machine did you use and is it big enough to run
OpCenter reasonably well?

It worked. I the install completed.

My, this install.sh runs MUCH faster than the v6.2 version!

Thanks for the help!

I take that back!!!!!! (user error)

I now have a "N" (Next) option after the validateion errors.

Proceeding with install . . . .

Thanks for the help, but, didn't help.

I added the parm to the ini file:

 cat IBMIM.ini
 -toolId
 ibmim
 -accessRights
 admin
 -vm
 /opt/IBM/InstallationManager/eclipse/jre_6.0.0.sr9_20110208_03/jre/bin/java
 -startup

/opt/IBM/InstallationManager/eclipse/plugins/org.eclipse.equinox.launcher_1.3.0.v20120522-1813.jar
 -vmargs
 -Xms40m
 -Xmx512m
 -Xquickstart
 -Xgcpolicy:gencon
 -DBYPASS_TSM_REQ_CHECKS=true

Still got the exact same response from the install.sh process.

Thanks

Rick

Hello,
add the "-DBYPASS_TSM_REQ_CHECKS=true" option to the
"/opt/IBM/InstallationManager/eclipse/IBMIM.ini" file
and then retry the install again with "install.sh -c".

Per a discussion the other day, I'm trying to install a minimal TSM v7.1.1
to try out Operation center.

I run the installer with the cmd in the install manual:
    ./install.sh -c -acceptLicense -vmargs "-DBYPASS_TSM_REQ_CHECKS=true"
but it still performs the validation checks and won't let me past the
errors.
The problem is that I only have 4GB of memory, not the 12 it wants.
After getting the validation errors, it only gives options for BACK and
CANCEL.
I can't find any way around this.

Any thoughts on now to get past the validation checks?
