Fields in the crontab file are as follows:

Minutes: 0-59
Hours: 0-23
Day-of-month: 1-31
Month: 1-12
Day-of-week: 0-6 (0 is Sunday)

Fields are separated by white space.
A "*" means any value in that position.

To run a job daily at 07:15, your line would look like this:

15 7 * * * command-to-run

For every Saturday at 20:00:

0 20 * * 6 command-to-run

Easiest way is to creat a shell script for what you want to do.

Then do a

Crontab -l >filename

This saves your current crontab.

Edit that file, adding the shell script you just created.

Then do a

Crontab filename

This will create a new crontabe from everytning in the file you just
edited.

Write back if you need further clarification.

Gary,
That sounds a lot like Michael's recommendation.
I really should have thought to automate at an additional layer.
