Hello Everyone,

I've never used a pick list with a CLI restore.
Yesterday for a restore I thought I'd try it out.
When I did, I was unable to get it to restore a directory
tree, only individual directory objects or files.

Cd /x
Dsmc
  Restore -subdir=yes -inactive -pick *
      # Backup Date/Time File Size A/I File
        ----------------------------------------------
     1. | 05/24/13 01:01:56 8.00 KB I /x/y1
     2. | 05/24/13 01:01:56 8.00 KB I /x/y2
     3. | 05/24/13 01:01:56 4.00 KB I /x/y3
     4. | 05/25/13 01:02:28 8.00 KB I /x/y4
==> Note, these are all directories, some active, some inactive.
Enter: 1 (selecting the first dir)
   Enter: O (perform the restore)
==> Restores only the directory proper, not the directory tree structure.

I understand that /x/y1 is the dir proper, and /x/y1/ is the contents.
I can't figure out how to get the pick list to show the trailing '/'.
If I specify this
   Restore -subdir=yes -inactive -pick /x/
I get a list of all files in the /x tree, but selecting a
dir only restores that object.

A simple restore can put an entire dir tree back:
Dsmc restore -subdir=yes -inactive /x/y1/

Is there a way from a pick list to select a directory item and have
it restore the entire tree from that point down?

Thanks

Rick
