Hi Del

O.K , by the way sometimes I notice checking the vssadmin list writers
command. The Microsoft Exchange Writer is in Failed stage

Writer name: 'Microsoft Exchange Writer'
   Writer Id: {76fe1ac4-15f7-4bcd-987e-8e1acb462fb7}
   Writer Instance Id: {05177631-6de6-4ae5-98a4-012f82486cc7}
   State: [9] Failed
   Last error: Retryable error

Did it a way to reset it without a restart ?

Regards Robert

Hi RObert,

Not correct.

A "mailbox database" refers to the entire Exchange database.

A user's "mailbox" is a subset of a "mailbox databases".

Typically, a "mailbox database" contains hundreds or thousands of user
"mailboxes".

And so, you need enough space to restore the entire database.

That is the restore granularity that Microsoft offers through their APIs.

Thanks,

Del
