Turn of TSM DNSLOOK up on the server.
But as all other say. Trace the network and try with static routes in the OS
and see if that works better.

Sounds like it a network config issue. We saw this with machines with 2-nics
and when it was trying to resolve the DNS name, it would try going through the
wrong gateway and give up and then try the right connection/path.
