Thanks for the interesting read / links.  I was hoping IBM had built in a
process to allow restoring directly into 6.3.4 from a 6.1 DB backup,
especially since they are discontinuing 6.1 next year.

So it doesn't matter which approach I take - it is going to be two phases,
other than if I do the restore to 6.1 on the new server, if I have issues
upgrading to 6.3.4, I can simply switch the old server back on and go back
- no harm - no foul.
