The estimate recoverable space is 40GB!

Hi Jerome!
I doubt it will be possible in 10 hours. Anyway, 8% seems kind of low to me,
not much fragmentation. What are you hoping to gain from the unload/load?
Kind regards,

Thanks Eric,

Fragmentation is at 8.02%. No spare storage available to will have to recover
to tape.

Is this something that could be achieved in 8-10 hours time?

Hi Jerome!
The performance of the unload/load process is hardly predictable.
Performance varies enormously during the unload process and seems to be related
to the amount of fragmentation. You can get an idea about your fragmentation by
running the following SQL query:
      SELECT CAST((100 - (CAST(MAX_REDUCTION_MB AS FLOAT) * 256 ) / -
      (CAST(USABLE_PAGES AS FLOAT) - CAST(USED_PAGES AS FLOAT) ) * 100) AS -
DECIMAL(4,2)) AS PERCENT_FRAG FROM DB The read performance of the
database is also crucial to the unload performance, if possible place your
database on (multiple) SSD disks.
Kind regards,

Hi All,

I am about to reorg my 200GB TSM DB this weekend. Anyone know approximately how
long it will take to complete?

Thanks

Jerome
