right, but you have to extract the package for example by:
./TSM_V6.3.3_AIX_Server.bin
Ensure that you have enough disk space available for the extract,
And it will take a while. After the extract completed you will find
'prereqcheck.bin'.

I know it's not part of 6.2, so I looked at the 6.3 package on Passport
Advantage, but the server code comes in one just one package, a .bin file,
so no separate prereqcheck.bin...

as far as I know, there is no prerequisite checker devlivered with TSM V
6.2, it came with 6.3 (or even 6.3.3).
In TSM 6.3 the prerequisite checker don't need to be installed, it comes
from extracting the TSM V6 Server Package. The file name is
'prereqcheck.bin.

Hi TSM-ers!
I would like to install the 6.2 AIX server on an existing 5.5 server.
The 6.3 server comes with a tool called the prerequisite checker, which I
was hoping to use before installing 6.2. I'm a bit confused by the manual,
it states:
Ensure that the appropriate installation package is downloaded and that its
files are extracted. A prerequisite checker is part of the installation
package.
It says extracted, so not installed. However, if I download the 6.3 server
from Passport Advantage it's a .bin file, which can only be installed as far
as I know, right? So how do I just extract the prerequisite checker from
this package?
