First check in your scratch tapes:

checkin libv <library> search=y checkl=b status=scr

Then your private tapes (storage pool, DB backup, export, etc.):

checkin libv <library> search=y checkl=b status=priv

Make sure to do it in this order, or all your scratch tapes will become
private.
