We need ourl TSM admins to convert their clients from using encryption to using
SSL transmission. To make the change easier for them, we are aiming to install
a certificate on the TSM server whose root certificate is delivered with the
TSM client. Both the TSM server and the client guides have a list of the root
certificates delivered in the SSL Transmission section. They say that "Thawte
Server CA", is one of the root certificates delivered, and we are focusing on
it because of cost. But, Thawte doesn't sell a certificate with the name,
"Thawte Server CA". And, in June 2010, Thawte started signing server
certificates with an Intermediate certificate rather than a root certificate.

__This provokes two questions; Did TSM Development add the Intermediate
certificate to those already delivered with the client?
__Will the root certificate, "Thawte Server CA" work for a current Thawte
product?

I am asking the same questions of TSM Support and Thawte Support, but perhaps
someone has tried this recently and knows whether it works.

Thank you,
