Hi Yanick,
You must have a root access in order to run the COI/DE installation/assistant.
There are "root parts" installed in /opt/tivoli and /usr/ibm which require to
be root.

Subject: [ADSM-L] Upgrade form TSM 6.1 to 6.2
Dear all,
Today I'm trying to upgrade our TSM 6.1 to 6.2 on a Redhat Linux 5 server.
I logon using my username, which doesn't have root access.
When I start the install.bin program, I'm getting the following error:
-----------------------
The installation wizard cannot run on your configuration. Verify the following:
Windows:
- The current user ID is part of the Administrators group
AIX, HP-UX, Linux, Solaris:
- The current user ID is root
If you are doing a silent installation, ensure that the LICENSE_ACCEPTED
variable
is set to true. This variable can be specified either in the command line or in
the
response file.
-----------------------
The install program exit after that.
I'm going to open a support with IBM, but I would like to check with you guys
of someone already had that issue.
Thanks you and best regards,
