This begs the question as to whether the tape is readable at all.
See if you can make any read progress with utilities such as tapeutil or dd.
Try on all available drives to see if one can get through it. If you can, copy
it. If not, recover it from your copy pool, per standard procedures.
I would not try to use TSMTape as long as the prevailing TSM db correlates with
that tape.
