Correct.
You can restore any *IX to any other variant of *IX, but you can't restore from 
*IX to Windows.
Or vice versa.
Restore to an *IX platform, and FTP to your Windows box, if that's what is 
really wanted.

Ok, thanks to all I got the virtual node working.
Now, the source node is suse linux under zvm, the target is some variant of 
windows.

I have tried restoreing both /home/userx/filename and {/home}/userx/filename

I either get "no matching files" or invalid filespace for the current operating 
system.
Are we stuck, not able to restore across platforms?

If not, what next?
