An Exclude.Dir is an overriding specification to any file-specific exclude.  If 
that is actually in effect (refer to Jason's response to this thread) then that 
NTDS directory should not have been entered at all.  (You might want to review 
the overall incl-excl rules for the clients, as there seem to be a bunch of 
specifications tripping over each other there.)

You might have to instead specify the exclusion in UNC network share terms, as 
specified in the client manual.  That kind of specification is supposed to be 
equivalent to a simple drive specification, but who knows...
