With a CLI interactive session, messages are written to the invoking
terminal; and at least in Unix, that output can be redirected to a
file, or pipe to the 'tee' command. Client sessions invoked via the
scheduler (as via Define Clientaction and Schedmode Prompted) gain the
added benefit of timestamping of each scheduler log entry, whereby the
admin can later review deltas for performance assessment.

I'm having a bad memory day. How does a client admin monitor the
progress of a restore run from the command line? Are messages
written to a TSM client log during a restore?
