Absolutely on the button.  As the article says, ensure the various locations or 
individual files are all excluded from real time scanning, and watch as the 
performance of your server improves.

In general, exclude the directories for logs and database (since you won't want 
to specify each one individually unless you have a lot of time on your hands) 
and if you really want to you can specify files for storage pool volumes, or a 
common extension if you use one.  Just don't specify C:\Windows\System32 as a 
directory exclusion ;)
