The problem was the Domain and Include statements. You guys are right as usual,
Thank you for your help! case closed. I talked to IBM too and they suggested
the dsm.opt bellow, and it works.

Thanks again to all

DOMAIN ALL-LOCAL -NDS:
EXCLUDE "NDS:*License ID*"
EXCLUDE *:...\*.tmp
EXCLUDE *:...\*.MP3
EXCLUDE *:...\*.TDF
EXCLUDE.DIR *:\DELETED.SAV
EXCLUDE.DIR DATA1:BACKSP7
EXCLUDE.DIR DATA1:PATCHES
EXCLUDE.DIR DATA1:TSM551-NW
EXCLUDE.DIR DATA1:PATCHES
EXCLUDE.DIR _ADMIN:...\*
EXCLUDE SYS:*
INCLUDE DATA1:novonyx\mail\users\...\* e4lclass
INCLUDE SYS:SYSTEM\AUTOEXEC.NCF

I don't see any INCLUDE statements for DATA1:, though that volume will be
automatically excluded from incremental backup processing. I do see INCLUDE
statements binding files on the RSEARCH[1-3]: volumes to management calss
FOM2CLASS. If those are working, then your configuration is fine (I cannot
argue with success!).

In your DOMAIN statement for this other system, I see excludes for volumes
RESEARCH[1-3]: vs. the includes for RSEARCH[1-3]:. I only mention this on
the off-chance that the DOMAIN and INCLUDE statements are supposed to be
referring to the same volumes, e.g., did you really mean to use DOMAIN
-RESEARCH1: or is it supposed to be DOMAIN -RSEARCH1: ?

Andy

The only dumb question is the one that goes unasked.
The command line is your friend.
