Thanks for all the great advice. I don't think we will recover the data. It has 
been couple weeks ago. We only keep 4 days TSM DB backup.

If the tapes that were deleted with "discard data" were from the primary
tape pool, you cannot recover them from the copy pool.  "DIscard data", does
just what it says.

The only way to get the data back, is to restore your TSM data base to a
time before the delete.  (And that will only work if you have ensured the
deleted tapes have not been written over).
