Del volume discarddata=yes will do it.  A pretty big hammer and you will not be 
able to get the data back without restoring the TSM database.

How can I change the status of a particular tape in the LTO Library to SCRATCH 
considering that there is still not expired data on it?

Is there any way to expire this data or tell TSM to ignore it and change the 
tape to SCRATCH?
