Colin, my thinking in a platform move is that one would remove all disk
storage pool volumes prior to the final database backup, and once the
database has been restored on a different platform, delete the tape
library, and redefine it, drives, paths, and then checkin scratch followed
by checkin private to get the inventory back. Then recreate the disk
storage pool volumes.

I do not have enough test equipment to personally try such a move. If
anyone else could try it, that would be appreciated, in particular a move
from a Windows-based server to an AIX-based server.
