A backupset should do that well. What is it you want that a backupset
will not do? Not clear to me.
It takes all the Active Data for a client and writes it out to whatever
device class you specify. It is a database operation though, not an
actual up to the minute client backup. It makes a set of all the Active
objects that have already been backed up. There is no communication
with the client.

Guys,

I just want to write this backup on an scratch tape....how can I tell
TSM do do this instead of using any tape at the pool and mix this data
with data from other clients?

Thanks

Mario

You cannot use a backup set.
They are not supported with "TSM API" data.
