Re: [ADSM-L] arbitrary schedule start

We have not had an issue with the clients set to prompted and issuing a define
clientaction NODE action=i on the TSM server.
Sometimes there is a few minutes between the command and the start of the job.

Subject: [ADSM-L] arbitrary schedule start
I would like to run a client schedule defined on the server at an
arbitrary 'starttime'. I need to do this periodically to test client
options, debug connection problems and the like. To date I have not
been successful. My procedure has been: associate a node with a test
schedule; update the test schedule starttime parameter to 'now' or
some arbitrary time; run 'dsmc q sched' on the client. The starttime
expires, but nothing happens. I have tried both schedmode polling and
prompted on the client. In both cases there is no server/client
communication. Our randomization percentage is set to 50. The client
is running dsmcad.
How does one get a schedule to start at will?
Both server and client run on Linux. The first at 5.4.0.3 and the
second at 5.5.1.10
With my thanks,
