Even though TSM does not keep this info, I can get a report of "mount history"
from my IBM 3584 web utility. This shows the history of the tape.
Before upgrading to LTO4, I used LTO2 tapes for over 5 years with very few
issues. They have outlasted the drive technology.

TSM does not keep information on a tape beyond its current use.
Not sure about LTO, but they are similar to 3590 which we run to the
first write error. In general this takes years, but I have no idea how
many mounts.
