We have about 300 VMs and back them up via installed client just like any other 
physical server.

I've reviewed the V5.5 code and mass proxy backup option but it doesn't seem to 
offer enough to warrant new procedures, testing, and configuration changes.

In the event of a large disaster our primary form of recovery is R2 from the 
symmetrix.  Backup software should be a last resort.

Most of our VMs are sized less than 10GB and do not change much.  Backups are 
very quick and problem free.
