Hello:

In our TSM environment, we have several Oracle RMAN clients, that backup
each day. In the midst of processing, we continuously see the following
type of messages for some/most of the RMAN clients:

04/30/08 10:36:14 ANE4994S (Session: 242071, Node: MAXORA10_ORACLE)
TDP
Oracle AIX ANU0599 ANU2602E The object
/maxora10_maxprd/-
/c-3365198191-20080430-0a was not found on the
TSM Server
                       (SESSION: 242071)

The thing that I don't understand and seems odd... after you see that
message, it goes ahead and successfully backs up the file to TSM two
seconds later:

04/30/08 10:36:16 ANE4991I (Session: 242072, Node: MAXORA10_ORACLE)
TDP
                       Oracle AIX ANU0599 ANU2535I File
/maxora10_maxprd//c-336-
                       5198191-20080430-0a = 16777216 bytes sent
(SESSION:
                       242072)

As you can see... it 's the exact same file. Can anyone please educate
me on how RMAN processing works? Are the messages, just mentioned...
normal?

Thank you...

Charles Welton
