If you are able to drive the tapedrive at it's maximum speed, it will
take about 2 hours to read a tape 'cover to cover', mostly across all
technologies. Reclamation is basically that, reading a tape from end to
end and writing the data onto a new tape (unless you have you have very
large db files on your tape in which case the tape can actually speedup
during a forward seek).
