DP for Domino does not have to be installed to enable Domino server
transaction logging.
There are three types of transaction logging, circular.linear, and
archival.
When using archival logging, the log extents must be archived
periodically by DP for Domino;
otherwise, the log grows until it fills up the disk space and the server
panics.
When using circular or linear logging, the logs wraps around a fixed
amount of disk space. If the log
wraps around before a new backup is taken, the transaction in the log are
lost.

tsm backups transaction logs on domino servers

Hello,
      In order to take advantage of transaction logs to capture database
changes so that full database backups can done less frequently when
working with domino servers. Is it correct that Data Protection for Domino
must be installed before I can take advantage of transaction logging?

Thank you for your help.
