Hi TSMer's,

At our TSM Server 5.3.4 on AIX 5.3 we use a deviceclass devtype FILE for
database snapshots.

tsm: TSM1>q devclass FILE32G f=d

             Device Class Name: FILE32G
        Device Access Strategy: Sequential
            Storage Pool Count: 0
                   Device Type: FILE
                        Format: DRIVE
         Est/Max Capacity (MB): 32,768.0
                   Mount Limit: 20

And there is one snapshot:

To delete that snapshot from volhist we entered following:

   tsm: TSM1>del volhist todate=today totime=now type=DBSNAPSHOT
devclass=FILE32G
ANR6978E DELETE VOLHISTORY: Invalid device class FILE32G.
   ANS8001I Return code 3.

After that we ommited the DEVC:

   tsm: TSM1>del volhist todate=today totime=now type=DBSNAPSHOT

Do you wish to proceed? (Yes (Y)/No (N)) y
ANR2467I DELETE VOLHISTORY: 0 sequential volume history entries were
successfully deleted.

Any suggestions how to delete the entries ?

TIA,
Otto
