Ren filespace servername {\\servername\e$} {\\servername\j$}

or do I need to specify nametype and newnametype?

The FSID is TSM's internal identification number for the file system,
within the node.  It's a physical identity, independent of the
filespace name.  If you rename the filespace, its FSID remains the
same.  (Give it a try.)
