I guess I shouldn't feel so bad then, we only have 2 servers and a couple
hundred clients.
I've been giving the guy from KPMG a hard time, lol.

Mark,
We went through one of these about four months ago. It took us
weeks to get CPU counts of all the servers in a 1200 TSM client
environment with 13 TSM servers spread out over 4 states. If all we had
to do was count how many clients of each type we had, it could have been
done in an hour, but NOOOOO, we had get various admins across the
enterprise to find out how many CPUs were in each one. It was a huge
pain. It was made worse by things like Intel servers with
hyper-threaded CPUs, that look like 4 CPUs to Windows, even though there
are really only 2 CPUs installed.
Now we have a process in place wherein every time we define a
new TSM client we update a spreadsheet, a master licensing spreadsheet,
if you will. We don't want to EVER have to go through the manual audit
again.
Is IBM listening, I hope? IBM's licensing strategy should be
greatly simplified, or based on something that the TSM client itself
could track and report.

Has anyone else ever gotten a TSM License Review request from KPMG? I'm
wondering what my legal obligations are because they want me to fill out
a spreadsheet with all the nodes on our network which would be very time
consuming. Has anyone else gone through this recently?
