Xeon and Itanium are different, very different, hardware. I would try the
x86_64.rpm.

Subject: [ADSM-L] What tape drivers to use with RH EL4 64-bit

We just got our new server and are installing 64-Bit RedHat EL4.

Which drivers should/can I use with this OS, to 3592/LTO2 devices ?

I see the IA64 drivers say they are for Itanium II but the specs on this box
are XEON WOODCREST processors. I don't know how to equate XEON vs.
Itanium ?

Or do I just use the IBMtape-3.0.5-2.6.9-42.EL.x86_64.rpm.bin driver and
IBMtapeutil.1.3.8.x86_64.tar.bin ?

This is my first adventure into 64-bit land, so any how-to/gotchas is greatly
appreciated !
