I don't do Lotus or Domino, but it seems obvious that the above is
the problem.  You need to verify where libnotes.so is - if it is
installed at all.  Check how it was installed.

For background: The IBM STE Web seminar "Using TSM Data Protection
for Lotus Domino on Unix" (July 2005, within http://www-306.ibm.com/
software/sysmgmt/products/support/supp_tech_exch.html) describes the
"cannot open shared object file" as a common error.
