Not really the programmer's fault, Richard. BrBackup got a non-zero
return code from the TDP 'backint' code. The real error is lurking in a
log file, as I mentioned to the OP.

Another example of lazy programming in enterprise software, where the
software certainly knows what error condition it ran into, but the
programmer didn't bother to carry through to render an informative
message that would fully aid the customer in resolution.
Search for that message number at www.ibm.com, which has a couple of
possible causes. There might also be some allied info in the client
error log.
