I think it's not so much about throughput, but about management and Disaster
Recovery.  In case of a disaster, it's much easier to rebuild a linux server
then a windows server.
If you use currently windows TSM servers and don't have linux knowledge, use
Windows.
If you ask me personnally, use linux or AIX ;)
