I've downloaded TSMSRVAIX5330.tar.gz to update vom TSM 5.3.2.3
# mv TSMSRVAIX5330.tar.gz /usr/sys/inst.images
# gunzip TSMSRVAIX5330.tar.gz
# tar -xvf TSMSRVAIX5330.tar ---> files had same permissions you have
listed
# lslpp -L all | grep tivoli ---> remember all server items previously
installed
# smitty install
Install and Update Software
Install and Update from ALL Available Software
INPUT device / directory for software --> /usr/sys/inst.images
(Installation Directory)
select items you've rememberd before [F7]
COMMIT software updates? Yes
SAVE replaced files? No
No Problems ... IMHO is changing ownership/permissions not necessary

- downloaded the 5.3.3 filesets, unzipped and untared them and got a series
of files :

-rw-r--r-- 1 501 300 342016 Mar 28 07:03 5330WCN.bff

1). I get errors when trying to install
2). as root I can't change ownership or access permissions on the files
Anyone have similar problems?
