        Folks,
Up to this point, we have used/tested the Linux X86 (32-bit) version of
the TDP for Oracle product with good success.
We are now at the point to install it on our 64-bit AMD and EM64T hosts
loaded with 64-bit Linux OS and I'm having some difficulties.
Do you have any good installation/configuration documents for the 64-bit
version of TDP?
Here is what I have tried:
* If I install the 32-bit version of TDP for Oracle, it looks like
it works (with the 'tdpoconf showenvironment' command), but the Oracle
folks get this error from RMAN:
*** ACTION NAME:(0000001 STARTED1) 2005-12-06 10:45:34.754
*** SERVICE NAME:(SYS$USERS) 2005-12-06 10:45:34.754
*** SESSION ID:(120.2155) 2005-12-06 10:45:34.754
Failed to load SBT library /opt/tivoli/tsm/client/oracle/bin/libobk.so
* So I uninstalled the 32-bit and installed the 64-bit version of
TDP, but with the /bin and /bin64 directories in both the API and
'oracle' areas, I can't seem to get all the configuration files in the
right places, so I keep getting "ANS1035S (RC406) Options file '*' could
not be found.", no matter where I seem to put the various opt and sys
files.
* Once we resolve this issue, I then need to get the TSM backup
client installed on these hosts to do the backups of the OS, so I need
to figure out which API filesets etc. need to be installed (since there
does not seem to be a 64-bit Linux backup client).
Thanks,
Ben
