Mac 5.3.2 Client Password File Gone on Restart

Hello TSMers.

We have 2 problem Macs running Mac OS X 10.4.3 and the 5.3.2 TSM
Client. One is accessing a 5.2.2 TSM server on AIX 5.1.0.0. The other
is accessing a 5.3.1.3 TSM server on AIX 5.2.0.0.

When you set up the Client with PasswordAccess Generate and install
the Scheduler (dsmcad), the Client creates a TSM.PWD encrypted
password file in /Library/Preferences/Tivoli Storage Manager/. When
you launch the TSM Backup for Administrators program, you are not
asked for the TSM password. Also, the Scheduler backs up the Mac
without incident.

However, if the computer is restarted or shutdown/turned on the
TSM.PWD file is gone. Scheduled backups fail, and if you launch TSM
Backup for Administrators it prompts for the TSM password. This
consistently happens across any restart or shutdown.

Various logs are reproduced below from the Mac accessing the 5.3.1.3
TSM server, but the error messages given are indicative of the
TSM.PWD encrypted password file storing the wrong password or being
gone. We have confirmed that changing the password and ensuring the
new password is saved in TSM.PWD does not make a diffference. The
problem seems to be the TSM.PWD file being deleted on restart.

Has anyone else had a similar experience? I wanted to check the list
for any ideas before opening a PMR with IBM.
