Are there message numbers along with the client & server messages?
What is the full context of the Retrieve attempt (command string
and/or path(s) entered into the GUI)? This, to understand it better.
And any idea on when this was stored, in terms of year and ADSM/TSM
level at the time? And was storage undertaken in the same operating
system and file type as the attempted retrieval?

One of the things that always concerns me with long-term storage of
data is the "ice man" effect: that when it's time to emerge, that the
contemporary conditions surrounding its retrieval (file system types
and current operating system rules) that the file may be considerably
incompatible in terms of file name, attributes, and format.

If it were just the client complaining, it may be retrievable via a
circumvention which assigns a new name to the retrieved output, and/or
the -pick option is used to gain access to it by wildcard or
description,
and then list picking, rather than trying to work directly with its
stored name. But whereas there is a server message, the complaint may
be about the data as stored, which is a real problem.

There are prior postings about this message, but I don't think those
cases pertain here.
