I'm wondering, if the folder and files are not displayed in the gui, are
they still restored anyway? IE; does the GUI send the equivalent
command line command to TSM to do the restore?

Matt.

Computer says 'No'..

Tim,

This is a common problem with the GUI. If files under the folder meet
the
critieria but the folder itself does not then the folder is not
displayed.
The most reliable method for doing point in time restores is to use the
command line interface: dsmc restore pitd="02/14/05"
c:\dataToBeRestored\folderIWantToRestore
