Hi Joni,

Do this export/import for a small node without using preview, which you
can clean up easily from target server after the test. This way you will
know that node in actually imported to RETIRED domain in target server
where you have predefined the node.

Don't forget to use filedata=all, since default is none, which means it
essentially does not export/import anything as node is already defined
in target server.

Use "q occ nodename" in source/target server before and after
export/import to observe/compare addition of filespaces in target server
and increase in occupancy.

Hi Steve,

I have the server I am exporting, sys000m, predefined on the target
server and I still get the following messages:

05/26/05 07:14:53 ANR0615I IMPORT (from Server ADSM): Reading EXPORT
NODE d
ata from server ADSM exported 05/26/05 07:14:46.

criteria.
                       (SESSION: 513543, PROCESS: 10997)

05/26/05 07:14:53 ANR0649I IMPORT (from Server ADSM): Domain SP2

not e
xist - the system will attempt to import node
SYS000M to
                        domain STANDARD. (SESSION: 513543, PROCESS:

05/26/05 07:14:53 ANR0635I IMPORT (from Server ADSM): Processing
node
SYS00
0M in domain STANDARD. (SESSION: 513543, PROCESS:

I am only doing a previewimport=yes, but should I be seeing message
ANR0649I? I would think that it would say it is attempting to place it
within the domain RETIRED which is where I have it defined on the target
server.

Thanks again!

Joni,

predefine your node on the destination server in the domain where it
should reside.
