please check:

  -  which aix-user is used for the backup (orasp7 or sp7adm) ?
     (see newest files in /oracle/SP7/sapbackup)
  -  what are the permission of /oracle/SP7/sapbackup/backSP7.log

Hi Folks,

Can anyone shed some light on the following please:

Upgraded an AIX client from 5.1.5 to 5.2.3 on an RS with TDP R3 for Oracle
on.

Sever is on ver 5.2.3

Normal client  backups wouldn't work until I put passwordaccess generate
in
dsm.sys but TDP R3 doesn't like that so then removed it.

Client backups are ok but when the online BRBACKUP job is run from SAP it
ran untill last night when it now fails with:

Have checked /oracle/SP7/sapbackup and it appears to have plenty of space.

This may of course be nothing to do with the client upgrade.
