Good Evening.
TSM 5.2.2 server on AIX 5.2
I have a question on running dsmserv format.
I ran dsmserv format 1 /lgaa1vpth0/lg 2 /dbaa1vpth0/lg
/dbaa2vpth0/lg (root directory)
I ran the command which seemed to run fine and it finished without an
error.
The question I had is on the other servers I see the
dsmserv.dsk, dsmserv.err and dsmserv.opt files are all in the
/usr/tivoli/tsm/server/bin directory and on the server I just ran it on
they are all in the root directory where I ran the command. I did not
see anything that said it needed to be run in a specific directory but
when I found them in the root directory I was a little concerned.
Should I copy these files to the /usr/tivoli/tsm/server/bin directory or
is it now expecting them in the root directory?

Thanks for any help,
Eric
