Problems with TSM and tapes
2005-03-10 06:34:11
Hi all,
Recently we've started seeing these messages pop up when we try to run
our nightly db2 backup:
03/10/2005 02:24:25 ANR8337I LTO volume 000002L2 mounted in drive
DRIVE0
AM (/dev/IBMtape0).

Now if we update the access on the tape to readwrite and use db2adutl to
delete a few of the backups, everything is fine but the tape library is
a 3582 LTO2 and there are PLENTY of scratch volumes. Shouldn't TSM just
use another tape?
We're running TSM Version 5, Release 2, Level 2.0 on RHEL 3.0 and DB2 is
running DB2 8.1FP4.
Thanks for any help!
