I don't know the 3494 personally, but is there something like the Check
Character on it?
I've also seen problems with LTO tapes which had not as the seventh/eigth
character L1 or L2.

What kind of library are you using? I've seen this happen on a Qualstar
8466 with Check Character enabled.

Hi all,

I have something here ... all my tapes are labelled with 6 digits as you
can see from below ... and I can find there are 2 tapes that are having 7
digits ... I tried to checkout those tapes but it just said
