Hi Guys,

We have a situation where we were using TDP for Oracle\ RMAN and the old
backups were not expiring.
We have now solve the expiration problem on the current backups, but cannot
expire the old backups already removed from Oracle (please excuse my
terminology - I'm not a dba).

Our dba says:

How can we use TDPOSYNC if we are not using an RMAN catalog?

RMAN implementation allows for recovery information to be held in a
recovery catalog in a separate database or in the Oracle control file. We
have opted for the latter.
TDPOSYNC prompts for the oracle login to a recovery catalog database which
we do not have. What should we do?
If we enter login details to our actual database, I get an "ORA-0942 table
not found" message, so TDPOSYNC is obviously looking for a specific
recovery catalog table which will not exist.

Oracle v 9.2.0
TSM server v 5.2.3.4
TDPO v 5.2.0.0

I have search thro' the list archives and have not been able to find the
answer, but apologies in advance if I missed it, any suggestions would be
most appreciated.
