Might be nice to know what kind of backup. Database, stgpool, client, etc.?

PROBLEM: When a backup encounters a bad media tape it ends the backup but
does not try to restart on another media.
Instead the operators have to restart it manually.

Does anybody have a suggestion on how we can have this restart automatically
