Hello All

I have received the letter with the request to help with the decision of
a described below problem, but I can not find the information.

When people tried backup SAP (Data Protection for mySAP.com(R)
technology; Version 3, Release 3, Modification 10  for AIX LF 64-bit ;
AIX 5.2; Oracle 9.2.0.5) he got a problem, described in SAP Note #
655017:

---note begin
- Symptom
When you use external security tools with the BACKINT interface with
backup_dev_type = util_file_online, the directory $ORACLE_HOME/sapbackup
is created or errors occur because this directory does not exist or
cannot be created, for example:

BR252E Function mkdir() failed for '<oracle_home>/sapbackup' at
location DirCreate-1

BKI0410E: Cannot open or delete switch file
'/oracle/R3T/817_64/sapbackup/.switch.lis'.
Check permissions.

BR252W Function remove() failed for
       'E:\oracle\AP2\sapbackup\.switch.lis'
BR253W errno 13: Permission denied

- Reason and Prerequisites
Up to Oracle 8.0, SAPDATA_HOME and ORACLE_HOME were identical
(/oracle/<sid>). As of 8.1, ORACLE_HOME is set to
/oracle/<sid>/<release>_<bits> (for example, /oracle/C11/920_64), while
SAPDATA_HOME remains at /oracle/<sid>.

Since the BACKINT specification requires that you store certain files
such as .switch.lis, switch.sem or .switch. log under
$ORACLE_HOME/sapbackup, the directory $ORACLE_HOME/sapbackup is also
used in addition to the $SAPDATA_HOME/sapbackup. There is no point in
changing the specification because this would mean that all BACKINT
suppliers would have to adjust their tools.

- Solution
The additional sapbackup directory is required due to the BACKINT
specification. From an SAP perspective, there is no need to avoid this
directory when using BACKINT with util_file_online.

Any errors that occur during creation may have other causes (such as
incorrect tool authorizations,see note 651351).

The BACKINT partner may provide options for redefining the used
directory with BACKINT parameters. For example, you can set the
following parameters with NETBACKUP in init<sid>.utl to create the files
under $SAPDATA_HOME instead of $ORACLE_HOME:

switch_list /oracle/<sid>/sapbackup/.switch.lis
switch_sem /oracle/<sid>/sapbackup/.switch.sem
switch_log /oracle/<sid>/sapbackup/.switch.log
Contact your BACKINT partner if necessary.

---end of note

When administrator create needed folder manually (drwxr-xr-x 2 oracbk
dba             256 Dec 24 11:01 sapbackup) - error repeated.

I can't find description for options for redefining the used directory
in case of integration TSM and SAP and needed permissions on IBM
website, in documentation and on http://help.sap.com/.

What it is necessary to make? Any ideas?

WBR,
Sergey
