Another tip. Run the clustered TSM scheduler service using a service
account from both nodes of the cluster. I had a terrible time keeping
passwords in sync until doing this. We have ran cluster now for over a
year (active/active and active/passive) without passwords problems.

Hi,

You need to delete the key under:

Hkey_localmachine\software\ibm\adsm\currentversion\backupclient\nodes\%n
odename%\%servername%\password

This is the encrypted password. I had untold amounts of problems with
this in clusters. Our setup for clusters now involves setting the
password timeout for those nodes to 0.

When a cluster does not fail over nicely, the technique for registry
replication in the generic service under cluster administrator does not
work and the node usually ended up using an old password. I have seen
the password just get corrupted to.

We have a Windows2000 cluster servers. TSM 5.6.1 client is installed
on all. All was working ok till I tried to create an archive backup.
I keep getting a authentication error ANS1025E (RC137) Session
rejected: Authentication failure. I have updated the password by way
of dsmcutil, but it keeps getting corrupted with the error.Error 2
occurred attempting to obtain registry password. It is like the
registry password keeps getting corrupted. Has anyone run across this
problem before. I can supply more details. I am just not sure what to
supply. I have looked in manual and google. Just not having any luck.
