It sounds like you did not initialize the database and logs.  Check the
command dsmserv format" .

The errors you cite appear to come from the existence of an old
dsmserv.dsk file which points to your old log and database volumes.

Hi,

I have a great problem to restore my TSM Database. Server runs on AIX
5.2_ML02 and TSM Server Version 5.1.8
I stop the server, so I have a consitent status.

After the server stop I lost the disks where are my db-logs (hardware).
Now
I change the disks and recreate the db-log files with dsmfmt -log path
size
But I cannot start the server. I think this is o.k. because the logs are
new and empty. So I start a

dsmserv restore db
and get the following errors:

# dsmserv restore db preview=yes
